Durban Overall is an accredited training provider for the Fabric Processing and Manufacturing Sector Education Training Authority. We have invested in our in –house facilitators, assessors, moderators and up to standard training center. We have delivered over 150 NQF Aligned Learnerships and over 300 skills programs since 2013. All at no cost to the trainee. Our training is focused on empowering rural female African youth and disabled youth. We have had a 100% absorption rate of all trainees into the workforce Our training has been recognized by the Department of Higher Education and we have received awards for training and placement of learners

Durban Overall is involved in social responsibilities and empowerment. We are involved in Inkanyezi School for mentally and physically disabled children. These areas include helping with the training and employment of pupils in our factories, supplying the school with raw materials for sewing, cut patterns for the pupils to sew and service their sewing machines. eThembeni (Place of Hope), Durban Overall assists 30 plus crèches in the Emnambithi area, assisting with transporting of goods such as food, solar cookers, clothes blankets and books for nearly 3000 AIDS orphans. Fabric and padding is given to the sewing group to make up garments for the orphans and to be sold for an income. Sustenance farming has been developed with the help of eThembeni field workers to help feed the poor and the orphans. Durban Overall also assists with expanding business, sewing machines, orders and finance work to Sizahulumeni Trading and Projects (Lizzy Twala). Durban Overall also pride ourselves in encouraging religious influence in the workplace, holding services once a week for all our staff. We have an on-site clinic, supplying staff with health care, medications and anti-retro viral drugs. Our clinic assists with the HIV and TB programmes.
